Colorado Attorneys Fighting for the Rights of Detained Immigrants
A class action lawsuit accuses GEO Group, which operates the 1,500-bed Aurora Detention Facility under a contract with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), of forcing detainees to work. The lawsuit alleges that the company pays $1 a day to immigrants in this illegally while they are held awaiting deportation and it punishes those who refuse to work.
